Following the Mirror Online's success with video content, we have a brilliant opportunity for a Video Journalist to join our team.
As a Video Journalist, you will be tasked with creating online content to support our News, Celebrity and Sport editorial coverage in line with the Mirror Online style.
Ideally the successful candidate will have proven industry experience in a similar role previously however we are also considering candidates who may have also come straight from an accredited NCTJ/BJTC course with strong work experience.

Within this role you will join an existing team of video journalists where you will create, edit (Adobe Premiere Pro/ Final Cut) and produce video content to accompany editorial content across various teams, which is consistent with the look and feel of our online site, mirror
You be directly involved in suggesting video content/ concepts by working with our editorial teams in reviewing live analytics to spot top for news stories which will feature on our online site. Once ideas have been formalised and agreed you will be tasked with sourcing relevant footage via sources or shooting footage directly.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally you will have proven industry experience in news/celebrity/sport video editorial coverage, however we are also considering candidates who may have also come straight from an accredited NCTJ/BJTC course with strong work experience.
You will be passionate about video and you have a good knowledge of the vendors in the marketplace.
You will also be confident and experienced in using professional HDVs or DSLRs filming equipment.
As our Video Journalist, you will work as part of our award-winning team and will liaising closely with specialist editors on-site, so professionalism is key.
This role is part of a large team who share shifts covering 24hours, so you will need to be able to work various shifts on a rotating basis.
