Our Client are currently seeking a Site Chemist to support their busy waste transfer site in the safe testing, storage and allocation of waste. The business are a well-established, innovative Waste Management company, with ambitious plans for growth and exciting opportunities for progression.
As a Site Chemist for this business you will be responsible for:
* Testing, inspecting and approving incoming loads of waste
* Ensuring the safe allocation and storage of various waste categories
* Supervising the safe transfer of waste to reduce risk of contamination
* Liaising with multifunctional teams to support waste transfer targets
* Ensuring compliance with legislation in the transportation, handling and disposal of waste
* Managing all relevant paperwork and compiling electronic information where required
* Working to strict Health & Safety regulations and legislative requirements at all times
* Dealing with third party enquiries and issues in person and by phone /email
The role will involve working outdoors in a waste environment, with occasional travel to customer sites; therefore it is essential that you hold a full UK driving License.
Ideally you will also have previous experience in a similar role, supported by a relevant qualification at HNC level (or equivalent / higher)
