Are you an experienced Catering Manager ? Are you immediately available and able to assist our client ( A facilities Management Business) at a local hospital.
Due to long term sickness our client has an opportunity for an Interim Catering Manager who is progressive, innovative and charismatic - who puts patients at the heart of everything they do.
The Catering Manager is a core member of the Facilities Management Structure; the post holder will provide strong professional and dynamic leadership. This role requires a confident leader / manager who can shape how front line services are delivered by utilising excellent leadershipinfluencing and motivational skills.
Duties
You will help generate new ideas that will drive forward the facilities agenda With a focus on the nutrition and the dietary needs of patients, this role pays a key part in developing the health and wellbeing of customers and improving their quality of life,
* Develop and manage efficiency programmes to reduce costs and increase productivity ensuring that KRONOS is fully functional to the business
* Responsible for compliance on food and H&S legislation, ensuring effective communications with the local EHO and taking all necessary actions within area of responsibility,
* Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation ,
* Responsible for visual audits and ensuring maintenance takes place of all equipment associated with all aspects of the cleaning services.Skills
* Proven experience of leading a team within a healthcare or similar environment
* Experience and passion for nutrition and health & wellbeing
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, colleagues, clients
* Proven experience of managing to budget requirements within a Catering service
* Ability to work independently, flexibly and professionally - dealing with stressful and changeable situations
* Experience of delivering relevant training, using company guidelines
* Financial awareness and understanding
* Understanding of relevant Health and Safety, Employment and other legislative requirements
* Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards
* Proven IT skills, ability to demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)Analyse problems analytically, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions
* Excellent communication skills are required for this hands-on role, as is the need to be flexible and quickly adapt and respond to the needs of the fast pace organisation.
* NHS experience is a pre-requisite
* As well as having the relevant experience you must be resilient, with a strong work ethic and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels
* . Your leadership will be vital to drive and influence change and improvements throughout Facilities and across the Trust.
* You will be supported by our Operations Manager
This is a full time temporary position for a minimum of 3 months to cover long term sickness. You will be based at Worcester Hospital
