Our client is an Award Winning Design Consultancy who specialise in landscape architecture, urban design, architecture and environmental planning. They are currently looking to recruit a talented Graduate or Assistant Urban Designer with between 1 and 3 years' experience to join their team in Surrey.
They have an impressive portfolio of global, national and regional projects at all stages of the planning, design and construction process including development promotion, masterplanning, public realm design, rural and green infrastructure planning, design and restoration of parks and green space.
The ideal Assistant Urban Designer will have a strong academic background along with a passion for urban design, regeneration and sustainability and will be enthusiastic about delivering design.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player who will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment to tight deadlines and demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and backgrounds, including the design team, clients and external consultants.
Ideal candidates will have excellent graphic skills and design ability using Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and AutoCad. A qualification in urban design or similar is desirable, and a background in Architecture is welcomed but is not essential.
Role duties can be flexible and are usually tailored to suit the individual.
An excellent package is available for the right candidate with good career progression.
