Quality Compliance Manager
With a rich history dating back to 1938, South Caernarfon Creameries is one of Wales' main cheese production and cheese packaging companies, supplying to well-known supermarket brands such as Sainsburys, Lidl and Aldi. With a workforce of 160 employees and a turnover level of GBP60 million, we are developing at significant pace.

What will the role of Quality Compliance Manager entail?
* Maintaining British Retail Consortium, customer and local authority approval and codes of practice
* Responsibility for food safety and legal compliance across the site
* Maintaining the company audit schedule, root cause analysis and corrective actions
* In collaboration with the Operations team, ensuring non-conformances are raised, followed through and closed off
* Identification of training and development needs across the Quality Assurance function and implementing plans to ensure the necessary skills, attitudes and behaviours are in place for strategy delivery
* Staff management of 4 members of the Quality Assurance team, ensuring that the team operates to the standards of in-house and customer audits
* Ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and challenging current practice
* Managing and monitoring standards ensuring that the business is compliant with legislation, internal and customer codes of practice and implementing new procedures where appropriate
* Working with all departments to ensure that quality and Health and Safety requirements are understood and practiced by all
* Championing hygiene across the factory, prompting awareness of the importance of the hygiene and good manufacturing practice
* Maintaining and developing the Q pulse system
* Developing and delivering quality training across the site in conjunction with the HR department
* Ensuring that all accidents and near miss forms are completed and that appropriate evidence is gathered at the time of the incident, in order to complete accident analysis documentation
* Development of continuous improvement plans for quality and compliance across the site
What will I need to be considered for this Quality Compliance Manager vacancy?
* Experience working in a Quality Management role
* Knowledge of COSHH
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines and manage own workload without supervision
* Good personal planning skills, with strong verbal, numeracy and written communication skills
* An assertive nature with the ability to delegate and make decisions
* Analytical skills, with the ability to work with cross functional teams at all levels

As a Quality Compliance Manager, you'll receive a very competitive salary, level dependent on experience. Additional benefits include an enhanced company pension contribution, life assurance, and an annual leave entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays.
Contract: Permanent, with full time hours working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.
Location: Chwilog, near Pwllheli (Gwynedd county, North Wales)
