Aircraft Engine Technician - Experienced or Engineering Apprentices

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our MRO facility based in Portsmouth for an Aircraft Engine Technician to work on a range of Turbo Shaft and Turbo Prop aircraft engines. The role is open to candidates with existing Aircraft Engine Technician experience AND engineering apprentices holding a NVQ level 3 or BTEC level 3. Aircraft Engine experience NOT Essential.

As an Aircraft Engine Technician you will carry out repairs, overhauls and refurbishments of aircraft engines and/or components in line with customer requirements and manufacturer specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved.

We are an OEM-certified and dedicated to providing maintenance, repair and overhaul services for small gas turbine and turbofan engines used in aviation. Our authorisations cover the majority of turbine engine models powering fixed and rotary wing aircraft used for business aviation, and many of the engines used in government, military and commercial applications.

Key responsibilities include:

+ Borescope inspection
+ Full disassembly
+ Detail inspection of piece parts
+ Sub module builds including rotatives
+ Main engine build
+ Apprentice mentoring
+ On the job training
+ Field support may be required

You will need:

+ A recognised engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent NVQ level 3 and BTEC level 3)
+ A willingness to learn and train
+ To be flexible
+ Aircraft Engine Technician experience is desirable however, not essential
