Starting Salary GBP50,340 per annum (plus contributory pension, 25 days)

Must be able to travel overseas for up to two weeks at a time, potentially each quarter.

We are looking for an exceptional Head of Financial Compliance to join our dynamic and successful Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to a join an international charity that shared the 1997 Nobel Peace-Prize. Our Finance Department is currently undertaking a dramatic and significant transformational change that sees a new structure and a number of high-level additions, including our recently hired Deputy Director of Finance. This is an exciting and integral role that will support our growth; thereby enabling us to make a real difference, supporting our lifesaving work across the globe.

Based in our Manchester HQ, you will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of financial policies, procedures and processes and also be accountable for MAG's financial compliance framework. Therefore, you will need a solid background in financial analysis and demonstrable experience leading on all external audits. Reporting in a commercial or NGO environment and have diverse experience in wide-ranging improvements in financial processes and procedures would also be essential. You will need to be accredited, either in CCAB or some other international equivalent professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA.

This is a fast-paced role, which will require high levels of initiative, pro-activeness and strong multi-tasking skills. Above all, you will need excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and are able to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You will need to be approachable, flexible, have a good eye for detail and be ready to work in a busy and varied role. You will also recognise that good financial support can make a real difference to MAG's success in saving lives and building futures.
