Income Officer (Fixed Term Contract)
Long Stratton, Norfolk
£30,358.87 plus excellent benefits and car allowance
Temporary, Full Time
Fixed Term Contract (Maternity contract up to December 2020)
Our client is a dynamic and successful housing association that finds and implements innovative solutions and aims to provide the optimum level of service to their customers. They operate in four counties within the Eastern Region, manage assets of £210m and deliver housing services to residents of over 6,000 homes.
Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for an Income Officer to join their team supporting the collection of rental income and control and recovery of arrears accrued. You’ll also take responsibility for the income management performance of properties across all tenures within a designated area.
As an Income Officer, you will manage accounts where universal credit is in payment and where the tenant is potentially a “qualifying” claimant. You will take action to prevent arrears accruing and support customers in making timely applications for “arrears direct”. Additionally, you will aim to seek early managed payments through proactively identifying vulnerable claimants and prospective claimants.
With experience of working within a similar role you’ll have excellent knowledge of rent and service charge arrears collection, along with positive negotiation skills in order to meet mutually acceptable outcomes. Previous experience of working in a busy customer service function is also essential as are strong organisational skills.
