Production Team Leader

British Pepper & Spice, part of the SHS Group, operates across three sites in the UK, supplying all of the major multiples with retailer branded products, as well as the food service sector. In addition, we have a highly successful Industrial Division supplying many of the leading UK and European food manufacturers.

We are looking to recruit a Production Team Leader at our site in Chandlers Ford, working on our day shift – 7:00am – 3:30pm. Some degree of flexibility will be required to suit business needs.

Helping to control the Production team and ensuring all Health and Safety / Food Safety and Hygiene policies are followed, you will motivate the operatives, rotate and organise labour within your team and ensure that all Operatives are correctly deployed and motivated. As the first point of contact for your team, including return to works & holiday bookings, you will have a hands-on approach and lead by example.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of in a similar role within a fast paced pressurised environment. With knowledge of line maintenance and previous machinery experience, you will demonstrate a progressive attitude towards developing knowledge and skills, have a Food & Hygiene qualification at Level 3 and have Health & Safety training.

A good communicator with effective people management, you will be self-motivated with an enthusiastic approach to work. Knowledge of the food industry is preferred but not essential.
