Payroll Officer
Location: Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Negotiable plus excellent benefit package
VolkerWessels UK is a multidisciplinary contractor that delivers innovative engineering solutions across the civil engineering and construction industries including rail, highways, airport, marine, energy, water, and environmental infrastructure.
We are now looking for a Payroll Officer to join the team working out of our Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire head office. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for providing accurate and timely payroll processing for both weekly and monthly paid employees and assist the Payroll Manager in any ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Key Accountabilities:
?? Ensure payrolls are processed in an accurate and timely manner in line with statutory legislation and company policies.
?? Prepare, input and process all relevant data relating to allocated payrolls
?? Checking and reconciliation of allocated payroll output prior to BACS submission
?? Checking of other team member's allocated payrolls to ensure BACS deadline is met
?? Dealing with enquiries from statutory bodies
?? Dealing with enquiries from employees in an efficient and professional manner
?? Liaise with relevant internal departments to ensure payroll deadlines are met
?? Assisting the Payroll Manager and other team members with any additional duties as and when required
