An exciting new opportunity has arisen for our well-renowned Client. They are a leading name in their field and are looking for a Litigation Officer to support their growing team in providing their clients with a professional, efficient and effective debt recovery litigation service.
THE ROLE
• To ensure all internal & external SLA's set in relation to your caseload are achieved (including activities by those supporting you)
• To communicate professionally & effectively with clients, 3rd parties, debtors/customers &colleagues by phone & in writing
• To provide training and mentoring support to Assistants and other less experienced staff
• To deliver successfully to a high standard combined with the expected level of output for the activities actioned
• To negotiate with debtors and 3rd parties to maximise the net recovery level achieved for the client
• To comply with all regulatory and ethical standards (including the principles of 'Treating Customers Fairly')
• To adhere to all client requirements
• To refer all complex/defended hourly rate activity promptly to the Technical Team
• Potential involvement in: client meetings; client billing & reporting; embedding client changes; testing changes to system; workload allocation; new client take on set up
THE CANDIDATE
• Ability to make decisions/recommendations based on legal knowledge & commercial acumen
• Initiative to achieve deliverables with minimal supervision
• Ability to thrive under pressure, responding with flexibility to varying work volumes
• Competent negotiation skills
• Experience in consumer debt collection & debt recovery litigation (including County Court Rules) would be advantageous
• Ability to communicate - both in writing and verbally - in a professional & effective manner
• Competent use of MS Word and Excel
SALARY & BENEFITS
• GBP18,000 - GBP24,000 dependant upon experience
• 35 Hours per week, some flexibility may be required according to workloads
