Partner Designate - Regional Accountancy Practice

The Role

Barber McLelland are working as an exclusive recruitment partner for a leading firm of Chartered Accountants based in South Yorkshire.

This ambitious practice have experienced significant growth over the past number of years and as a result of this coupled with future succession planning, the firm are looking to appoint an ambitious ACA or ACCA qualified accountant for the position of Partner Designate.

Duties and Responsibilities

Initially the role of Partner Designate will take on the responsibility of covering a wide range of business sectors, overseeing the delivery of accounting, audit and other client services as well as providing business advice and supporting staff, workload and budgets.

The Partner Designate will work closely with one of the Partners who is looking to retire in the near future to develop a strong understanding of their client portfolio, providing a platform to take full responsibility of this portfolio within the near future.

In addition, a key part of your role will involve developing and building client relationships and actively becoming a part of the local business community, networking, developing key business relationships and identifying opportunities for further the growth and development of the firm's client base.

Upon the successful integration into the firm, the role will develop to a future Equity Partner position, working alongside a highly experienced team of partners.

Skills and Qualities

To be considered for this unique opportunity, individuals will be qualified ACA or ACCA with a strong background working within both an audit and a general practice environment, operating at a Senior Manager or Director/Partner Designate level.

You will have already developed skills in managing a portfolio of clients with an emphasis on statutory and management accounting, audit, taxation and business advisory.

Individuals must be looking for career progression into a Partner level role with profit share/equity and be able to demonstrate the skills required succeed within such a position, this will include identifying new business service offerings, strategic development of the accountancy practice, business development and relationship building skills.
