Trainee Block Property Manager required to work in a highly regarded, national Block Management company. This role would suit an organised, ambitious individual with customer service and office administration experience, who is eager to grow, learn and carve out a long-term career in the property industry. Equally it would suit a lettings agency Property Manager, looking to transition in to Block Management and work Monday - Friday hours.

As Trainee Block Property Manager, you will be the main point of contact for landlords, tenants and contractors and will follow processes for the best service delivery.

You will be working alongside the general manager, looking after up to 11 blocks across Yorkshire and Lancashire, establishing relationships with contractors, managing the repairs process and daily administration.

You will be professional, punctual and display a positive image to staff, clients and customers at all times, playing an important role in this growing branch. You must be able to work independently to achieve results.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the office team
  • Help to manage a residential portfolio.
  • Liaise with contractors on a daily basis
  • Arrange contracts for maintenance equipment and oversee work
  • Manage Caretakers/Concierges & Cleaning Operatives
  • Implement and monitor Health & Safety at Work regulations
  • Arrange Resident/Committee/Director and Annual General Meetings
  • Help to manage detailed budgets for each development
  • Provide customer services to residents
  • Deal with Solicitors in the selling and buying of apartments
  • Pursue debtors through solicitors and, if necessary the Courts
  • Attend sites on regular basis to assess contracts in place and performance of contractors
  • Ensure year end accounts & annual returns are registered with Companies House on all Sites
  • Suggest improvements to current developments and implement on approval
  • Provide full administrative and organisational service to the developments and residents
  • Provide the most efficient Block Management service possible

Required Skills / Experience

  • You must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must have some experience working in a professional office environment
  • Familiarity / experience in Property management or using Qube software, would be beneficial although this is not essential - full training can be provided
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Well presented, friendly and approachable
  • Strong IT skills - able to use Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Internet
  • Must enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment
  • Have a flexible and dedicated approach to work
  • You will be able to work well under pressure and prioritise workloads and will be trustworthy and organised. Training and support will be provided for internal practices and procedures.
  • The most important attribute is a good attitude to work and willingness to learn

Package

Generous starting salary: GBP18 - 25,000, negotiable depending on experience

Working hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Full training and continuous development
