Our client is looking for an assistant to help out in their Electrical Test Department.

Electrical skills are not required to fulfill this position but depending on the abilities shown by the candidate further electrical training and responsibility could be offered later on.

Job Description:

  • Reporting to the lead test engineer normal duties include;
  • Working in the very busy workshop in Peterborough assisting electrical test engineers with tagging and labeling of electrical panels, components & machinery.
  • Printing information and warning labels.
  • Printing and binding electrical drawings and test sheets.
  • Updating check lists and data base.
  • Preparation of panels prior to testing, this will require connecting cables under supervision.
  • Disconnecting test wiring prior to sign off & dispatch.
  • Setting up of electrical components from instruction manuals.
  • The role will also involve the use of a computer and Microsoft windows.

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.45pm with 45 mins for lunch.
