About the roleOur Technology Solutions is experiencing continuous success and growth. As part of this growth, we are seeking to recruit experienced Test Automation lead to work with our Testing teams to lead the testing of state-of-the-art SAP Platform (S4/HANA Retail suite on cloud) and associated applications to optimize the supply chain with real-time information and analytical capabilities between retail branches as well as suppliers and logistics partners.

As a Test Automation Lead you will be driving the delivery of testing solutions across the suite of applications, leveraging a global team with end to end technical ownership from engagement with the business, managing testing teams to Production implementation.

RequirementsQA technologist with a good understanding of QA methodology - test cycles, test plans and software releases; functional, regression; performance and load testing

Experienced with creating test plans, including building a test automation framework from scratch

Lead the design & development of Test Automation regression pack across suite of applications, Enterprise Portal applications, HP Quality Center Suite of tools and applications

Good knowledge of automation and test frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Gherkin, CapyBara, JUnit, TestNG, Sauce Labs

Understanding of Prior knowledge/experience in delivering solutions using an agile methodology

Work closely with business teams, application developers of business partners, inhouse and across Europe, for Test Automation

Build comprehensive library of reusable automated test components and actions using HP Quality Center Suite.

Additional experience/ background in SAP or ERP Application, API, Gateway services/ OData Services will be helpful

Who we are looking forEssential Criteria

Experience of leading Test Automation for a large scale programme

Strong influencing skills and able to credibly challenge status-quo to deliver best practice solutions

Must have strong hands on automation using Selenium, Cucumber equivalent tools

Possesses ability to lead a team of technical engineers

Demonstrated knowledge of technical landscape and technology integration points within an ERP landscape.

Technical skills with testing tools include HP / LoadRunner 12.x or Performance Centre, Selenium, Gatlin, HP / Microfocus ALM or equivalent

Strong influencing and negotiation skills with a proven record of success at both executive and operational levels of an organisation

Degree in Technology, software development or similar qualification

Excellent presentation skills and an ability to communicate complex solutions in simple language to a variety of audiences

Essential to be comfortable working in a consulting environment and can work in a multi-project style

Manage a team of associates, small to medium size. Demonstrates broad technical leadership, exerts influence outside of immediate team and drives change.

Produce high quality technical & Functional documentation such as; High Level designs, Low level designs, coding reviews, configuration guides and development processes

Knowledge of test automation frameworks and solutions to manage complexity

Experience in supporting team success and motivating others to keep morale and performance high

Desirable Criteria

Demonstrate leading a large Test Automation programme of work using latest Test Automation tools

LocationYou will be based in Birmingham or Belfast, however as a result of the wide variety of clients and projects, you may be asked to work in other locations within the UK and beyond, sometimes at short notice and sometimes over lengthy periods of time. Your desire and ability to do this will be discussed as part of the recruitment process.
