Job Title: In-House Recruiter

Location: Brighton

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm

Salary: GBP22,000 - GBP24,000

We are very excited to be working with a local retail company in search of an In-House Recruiter. They are looking for someone who has a real interest in recruitment. You will be responsible for resourcing suitable candidates for open vacancies, recruitment administration, complying with GDPR Regulations and supporting Line Managers with all recruitment needs. A large part of this position will involve the overall responsibility for the recruitment administration so strong administration skills are essential.

Please note, the office is based in a rural location which is not easily accessible via Public Transport.

The Role:

Recruitment responsibilities:

updating and maintaining the department vacancy control sheet and Company Business Bulletin/website on a weekly basis;
preparing all job specifications and internal / external job advertisements;
establishing and maintaining terms and conditions with agencies on PSL, as per Company standard;
establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with agencies on Preferred Suppliers' List;
designing and placing job adverts on nominated job boards and Company website;
assisting managers to produce and update Job Descriptions;
overseeing the shortlisting of applicants and assisting management when required;
carrying out telephone interviews with applicants as required;

Administration responsibilities:

coaching and training the HR Admin Assistant in general recruitment admin tasks and supervising the work of the job holder;
ensuring Welcome Packs are issued for all new starters;
producing regret letters for unsuccessful applicants;
managing all administration relating to recruitment to comply with GDPR Regulations;
overseeing the procedure for obtaining references as per Company standard;
setting up new personnel records, electronic and manual, for all new starters and
follow up the recording of all signed job offer documents;
updating the schedule to include new appointments of Fixed Term Contracts;
updating the schedule to include the engagement of new Casual Workers;
checking all invoices for staff advertising and agency costs and apportioning charges
to branches and departments before passing to HR Manager for authorisation;

The Person:

A genuine passion for recruitment
Experience in a recruitment role in the private sector
Strong administration skills
Experience writing job descriptions
