As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide bed and support to more than 3,000 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Rents Service Team and contribute to:
Providing an excellent income collection service
Maximising incomes and collection and Minimising debt levels
Supporting the needs of vulnerable tenants
You will be responsible for:
Ensuring efficient administration of the rent account system
Effectively manage the income collection service in order to maximise income.
Manage a team of 3 and over see the provision of excellent customer service
To succeed, you will have demonstrable experience in:
Experience of managing staff (including individual supervision, team meetings, performance management and appraisal, training & development, and staff conducts) with a recovery focussed approach and the ability to work with vulnerable, homeless or disadvantaged people
A high level of numeracy and the ability to produce accurate financial reports; collate and interpret financial and statistical information, and set up and maintain information systems.
Understanding of staff management issues
Knowledge of working with performance indicators, including monitoring and reporting on service outputs/outcomes, analysing performance information, and identifying corrective action.
You will have experience of income management and delivering a professional and effective Rental Income service. Providing excellent customer service as well as building and maintaining effective internal and external partnerships, is also required. This is a varied and fast-paced role which will see the successful candidate using their initiative and problem solving skills to positively impact the lives of our tenants and empower them to progress.
