Are you an enthusiastic support worker with experience supporting individuals with autism and challenging behaviours and do you want to make a difference?

We are looking to recruit support workers to join our team who support people with learning disabilities in the Sheffield area. The role will be based within the community visiting different individuals, some whom we already support and some who are new to us. The hours include working weekends, bank holidays and no sleep ins would be required for this service.

We have various contracts available for 20, 25 and 30 hours per week.

Essential requirement - experience supporting people with autism and challenging behaviour

What will you be expected to support people to do?

* Access the community in which they live in to help them to promote independence and inclusion. Listen to the needs and wishes of the people we support

* Help people to make decisions based on real options pros and cons. Support people with their everyday care needs, including personal hygiene. Support to keep their house safe to live in. Develop hobbies and interests in their local community including swimming, shopping, going to the gym, football, bowling, take breaks away to name a few

* Plan their menus, shopping and get involved in preparing and cooking their meals. Keep healthy including medical appointments and take their medication. Maintain records about their support
