With its mission to transform child health through knowledge, innovation and expertise, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK.

The College's reach is global as it advocates on child health issues at home and internationally and supports nation-wide child health programmes in developing countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

The College is looking to recruit an exceptional Corporate Partnerships and Business Development Manager to play a key role in generating exhibition and sponsorship sales for our major events, with a focus on our flagship Annual Conference which attracts organisations from the UK and across the globe.

This is an exciting and unique position in which you will offer and contribute new ideas to build on the success of previous Annual Conferences with the aim of maximising sales income.

Working within the Membership and Development Division, you will also work with the Head of Corporate Partnerships to deliver a new corporate engagement strategy aimed at developing a diverse portfolio of corporate partnerships.

This will involve creative and collaborative close working with teams across the College to identify and develop innovative sponsorship and partnership opportunities related to the College activities and programmes.

Commercially-minded with strong business acumen, you will be comfortable with income growth targets and other key performance indicators and have experience of generating exhibition sales and sponsorship with a background in business development and corporate partnerships.

Capable of working under pressure and to time constraints you will have the ability to create and present sales pitches and business proposals in a fluent and persuasive manner to a range of people at all levels.

With excellent relationship development skills, you will be comfortable developing a dynamic prospect pipeline and directly contacting and meeting new prospective partners and developing and managing long lasting partnerships within the corporate sector.

The RCPCH has more than 19,000 members and fellows and employs around 160 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn. We have smaller offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
