RSR Police is a market leading recruitment business dedicated to supplying experienced practitioners on a temporary, contractual or permanent basis to the Law Enforcement, Cyber Security, Offender Management and Regulatory Services talent markets.

RSR Police are currently recruiting for an Intelligence Analyst to work on a temporary basis until the end of the year.

Based in Warwickshire, as the Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for the provision of analytical information to enhance the understanding of vehicle theft related issues.

The rate of pay offered per hour is GBP14.70 PAYE

Main duties and responsibilities

Provide analytical products developed individually or in collaboration, to meet the requirements of the various parties
Negotiate terms of reference with Senior Intelligence Analyst or directly with customers in order to determine the most effective way that analysis can contribute to the intelligence requirement
Develop inferences based on analysis techniques and methodology that go beyond the known facts
Use hypothesis testing or other structured reasoning processes in order that analysis is free from cognitive bias
Obtain data and intelligence from a wide variety of sources in order to test hypotheses, evaluating information critically to assess its strengths, limitations and impartiality
Evaluate the effectiveness of analytical techniques, products and recommendations
Develop clear, concise analytical products to meet the requirements of a diverse range of customers, explaining complex issues using data visualisation techniques as well as in written form
Communicate clearly, giving structured briefings and to influence at a senior level.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with police forces, regional intelligence units, government agencies and private sector partners
Undertake continuous professional development, ensuring an up-to-date knowledge of developments within intelligence, application of analytical techniques, good practice, research and legislation
Person Specification

Minimum of 2 years' experience in an analytical discipline
Experience of analysis of large volumes of qualitative and quantitative data
Proven communication skills with the ability to present concise reports
Experience of working with minimal supervision, balancing the demands of multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines, customer requirements and the needs of the department
Proven working knowledge of the theoretical principles underpinning intelligence analysis
A high level of computer skills with advanced Excel skills and experience of using databases to retrieve information for the analysis process
To have completed training on Strategic Analysis and/or experience of producing strategic analysis (Desirable)
Use of Geographic Information Systems and i2 Analyst Notebook (Desirable)
