Our client is the leading Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom fitted furniture manufacturer in the UK, boasting unsuppressed growth over the last 40 years, with an emphasis on providing a high standard of products and service. They are currently seeking the very best people, to further strengthen their position within the industry by appointing dedicated individuals to share in their success.
We are working on their behalf to recruit a Junior CAD Designer to work within their Design Centre based in London. This position includes a full induction training programme which has been designed specifically for this role in order to give you an understanding of the CAD software and product; this provides individuals with excellent opportunities to progress as a Designer within the business.
You will attend a two week Induction which will be held at the Head Office if you are successful with your application.
Purpose of Post
* To produce layouts of kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms for customers and assist in maintaining and updating sample products
As a Junior CAD Designer your key responsibilities will include:
* Producing new or amended layouts using Fusion 20:20 CAD software
* Producing take-offs from architects plans
* Keeping up to date with industry developments and London social housing requirements
* Keeping up to date with new procedures and products
* Liaising with other members of the department/team leader and manager
* Answering telephone and e-mail enquiries from customers and reps and other departments
* Using workflow
* Helping with hospitality for customers during studio visits
In order to fulfil the role you must:
* Have some Kitchen, Bedroom or Bathroom design experience
* Hold design related qualifications such as Interior Design Degree, Architecture Degree, Interior Architecture
* Be able to drive and within a commutable distance of Waltham Cross.
* Able to communicate confidently with people at all levels
* Self-motivated and willing to work as part of a dynamic team
* Able to work under pressure to maintain deadlines
* Excellent organisational and written and numerical skills
* Excellent timekeeping and time management skills

* 30 days holiday per year including statutory bank holidays increasing to 33 days after 6 years employment with one extra day for each year employed after that
* Hours of work Mon - Thurs 08:30-17:00 (45 minutes lunch) Fri 08:30 - 16:00 (1 hour lunch)
