JOB DESCRIPTION FOR: COUNTY COORDINATOR

JOB TITLE: COUNTY COORDINATOR (PART TIME)

SALARY: GBP21,000.00 - GBP25,000.00 (pro rata GBP14,000 - GBP16,666)

HOURS: PART TIME, 25 hours per week (including 2 evening sessions per week plus attendance at county meetings on Thursday evenings and 6-8 weekends per year)

(Full Time/Job Share considered)

THE COMPANY: Our client is one of the County Federations that make up the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs. They are one of the largest rural youth organisations in the UK dedicated to young people who have a love for agriculture and rural life.

Led by young people, for young people, our client provides their 25,000 associated members with a unique opportunity to develop skills, work with their local communities, travel abroad, take part in a varied competitions programme and enjoy a dynamic social life.

THE ROLE: Our client is seeking to appoint a part time County Coordinator to support young people on their personal development journey, encourage their community involvement and extend their opportunities to explore rural and countryside issues. Reporting to the County Organiser you will be supporting Clubs and County Committees with their competitions, charity work and social programmes.

Are you/Do you have:

Interest in and experience of supporting young people
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, communication and planning skills
Proven track record of delivering successful projects and events
Experience of offering volunteer support
Full driving licence and access to a car for business use

Key duties of this role include:

Enabling the development of new and existing programmes and projects
To support YFC Clubs and Committees to uphold the democratic process according to the relevant Constitution by attending Club and County meetings
To manage the DBS checks and references
To be the main point of contact for Safeguarding matters
To advise on and to ensure current Health and Safety and Safeguarding Legislation and best practice is adhered to
To develop effective knowledge of working relations with support agencies services and organisations
To support the SFYFC Behaviour Policy at all times
