Senior Policy Officer - Nutrition
You will join us as a Senior Policy Officer ensuring that Concern provides grounded and well-analysed input into key fora and stakeholders in the areas of nutrition and food security in some of the poorest and vulnerable countries for malnutrition.
Senior Policy Officer Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of advocacy strategies or action plans for delivery in the UK and in priority developing countries where Concern is operational.
- Work closely with technical advisors and overseas staff to develop Concern positions and messaging on priority food security and nutrition issues.
- Work closely with Concern's Parliamentary and Campaigns Officer to support and help drive public and parliamentary engagement on nutrition.
- Regularly monitor advocacy strategies and action plans.
Senior Policy Officer Requirements:
- A track record of policy analysis, development and influencing.
- Experience of advocacy strategy planning and delivery
- Experience of working for an international development NGO, donor or UN agency in a policy position.
- Experience of working as part of a research team and practical knowledge of mixed research methodologies (desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.
