Nationwide Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for our prestigious client in Lichfield. We are looking for a sous chef to complement an existing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a previous position working in all aspects of the kitchen. This is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation of knowledge.
Sous Chef THE ROLE
Prepare and cook fresh food
Ability to work consistently and calmly under pressure liaising with FOH
Control wastage and costs
Understanding of stock rotation and ordering
Able to competently cook various dishes and sauces from scratch using raw ingredients
Must have the ability to run and manage the kitchen when the Head Chef isn t there
Ensure compliance and legislation is adhered to
Maintain company systems and procedures
Sous Chef ATTRIBUTES
Experience in a similar role
Experience working with fresh food menus
Excellent people communication and management skills
Stock management
An outgoing and positive personality and attitude
Working hours
5 days per week to include weekends with two days off in the week
Shift patterns are either 10am start 2 hours break mid day then work till finish
Or
12pm start 2 hours mid afternoon then work till finish
The shift will end roughly an hour after the kitchen closes
Qualifications Experience
NVQ Level 2 or 2 3 years experience preferred
Fast paced environment.
Having worked with a set menu
Kitchen staff supervision
