Assistant Product Manager I

Candidates should have excellent, translatable knowledge gained from working predominantly in the payments service sector i.e. banks, online banking service providers, Fintech companies, payment scheme operators, payment aggregators etc. and ideally possess some level of Product Management/Product Development experience. This is a growing institution and the product portfolio will continue to evolve and expand.

Reporting to the Head of Product Management EMEA, the successful candidate's remit will include the following:-

Supporting the Product Managers and assisting on the payment product set including Product Reviews, internal and external products
Assisting in the development and enhancement of Product MI including supporting the team by providing analysis reports
Involvement in various testing activities
Assisting in the review of payment scheme access working within the overall Transaction Banking Product Strategy
Investigate opportunities to improve the customer experience
Creating presentation packs

As a Product Manager the candidate is expected to possess:

Product experience within financial services / Fintech
Experience of working with payments clearing & settlement and/or card schemes
Some regulatory knowledge (e.g. SEPA rulebook, PSD2 Schemes)
Project management experience
Excellent knowledge of the UK Financial Services marketplace, with experience of managing significant Banking products/categories (customer needs, product strategies, product management, regulation, competitor activity, market developments and trends)
Strong analytical and interpretational skills
Strong communication/influencing skills
Demonstrable experience within testing (UAT, Data Testing)
Excellent knowledge on all core MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential
