Fundraising Officer
Fixed term Contract to see our Building Futures project to completion
November 2020 - January 2022
Hours: 40 hours per week - must be flexible within charity's needs
Qualification: Relevant degree
Salary: GBP25,000.00-GBP32,000.00, dependent on experience
The Fundraising Officer role entails:
* Determining with the Chief Executive & Senior Leadership Team the fundraising priorities and develop and implementing our Building Futures fundraising strategy that will generate a sustainable income stream for St John's in line with the organisation's business plan.
* Keep abreast of local, regional, national and international funding opportunities to identify unmet needs and spot opportunities.
* Work in developing a range of modern, integrated and cost-effective publications and leaflets in support of St. John's fundraising and marketing.
* Lead on the identification of, and approaches to, trusts, grants, and foundations to support the work of St John's, building an action plan of key applications and timescales;
* Write tailored applications, addressing grant-making priorities or requirements as specified by individual trusts and foundations.
* To increase income over the year by proactively securing funds from grant & trust applications and local (St John's) fundraising
* To develop and maintain links with existing and potential supporters.
* To use social media extensively to keep our followers informed of our fundraising activities and work to increase our coverage

Employment will be subject to the receipt of two satisfactory professional references, an enhanced DBS certificate and occupational health clearance.
