Senior Learning Consultant - Talent Development - 12-month FTC
As Senior Learning Consultant you will be expected to perform core responsibilities, including those set out below, contributing to Talent Development priorities and objectives. An essential component of the role is also to generate high levels of employee and stakeholder engagement through your communication, behaviours and actions.
This is a broad role, providing an opportunity to demonstrate manager lever capability through ownership of portfolio areas and supporting Tax & Law Talent Development wide responsibilities, whilst retaining some core Learning Consultant responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities
Realise operational excellence and contribute to continuous improvement through maintaining a thorough understanding of, and adherence to, the UK&I Learning Deployment Operating Model
Work with the wider management team to actively identify and realise operational efficiencies and to implement process improvements across your portfolio.
Alongside the wider management team ensure effective and appropriate resourcing of projects across Tax & Law Talent Development.
Supporting other Tax & Law wide planning and initiatives, leading and sharing best practice across Talent Development, and thinking and working proactively to further strengthen the Tax & Law Talent Development brand.
Effective management of the full course learning deployment cycle; including design, development, deployment and evaluation. Proactively act on evaluation feedback to ensure quality course deployment, theme feedback and present suggestions for change.
Be responsible for the output of your project team members eg the Learning Consultant, Learning Coordinator and/or the TSS learning administrator.
Act as a role model within the team. Coach, support, counsel and line manage the Talent Development Learning Coordinators to increase their knowledge, skills and competence within their role. Work collaboratively with technical content owners (SMRs) to understand how best to deploy learning.
Embrace, promote and support the Talent Development learning transformation (both system and shift in delivery style) with stakeholders.
Support the implementation of a performance development culture and evaluate the return on investment of learning within the Tax & Law Service Line. This will be achieved by ensuring that the programmes that you manage are fit for purpose; seeking feedback and conducting follow up evaluations to articulate the value and impact of our offerings.
Work collaboratively with Learning Solutions team, Global Tax Learning team and SMRs to identify and meet new learning needs, support in identifying routes to market and testing new content with stakeholders, guide the Learning Consultants in implementing new solutions.
Responsible for building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with the business, directly within the service lines and recognising the multiple perspectives they may have. For example, with Global Learning teams, Resourcing, Operations, Learning Champions, Knowledge, Subject Matter Experts, Talent Leaders or External learning providers.
Work with key stakeholders within your portfolio areas to develop a successful facilitator model which minimises admin burden on our Learning Consultants and appropriately leverages the business, support the Learning Consultant in implementation of this.
Focus on maximising engagement with our learners by considering and implementing effective communication methods to ensure they have full awareness of the learning available and make best use of this to meet their performance needs.
Drive the accuracy and completeness of our financial reporting for the courses/areas within your portfolio. As the primary budget holder for your portfolio, manage the budget, accruals, forecast and actual costs of courses and proactively report on a timely basis to senior stakeholders as requested. Respond to ad-hoc queries and requests as and when needed.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with other regions to ensure that where applicable, the mutual benefits of the host relationship are maximised (ROI, FSO, etc).
Skills and attributes for success
Proven experience in learning deployment and performance consulting
Proven experience in coordination, on-the-job coaching, with a background and experience in complex project management
You'll be able to work collaboratively and enthusiastically, as part of a team; virtually as well as face to face.
