Role: Service Manager (Children and Young People Services)
Based: Lancashire and Cumbria
Rate: GBP18 - 20 pa (dependent on experience)
Length: 3 months (with possibility of an extension)
Hours: Flexible 30 or 35 hours
Start date: ASAP
An exciting opportunity has just become available for an experienced Service Manager to operationally manage a number of exciting and innovative programmes working across Lancashire and Cumbria.
The programmes include Child Sexual Exploitation Prevention, Youth Crime Prevention, Emotional Health and Well Being, Employability, Feel Good/ Function Well and Detached Youth Work and Outdoor Activities.
You will be line managing 5 Project Workers (including both Support and Youth Workers) who will work directly with young people and will be responsible for 121s and supervisions, recruitment and retention, identifying and supporting training and development needs and monitoring service delivery and performance.
You will be working with partner agencies across Lancashire and Cumbria and will be tasked with building and developing strong working relationships and with attending various multi-agency meetings, steering groups and networking events to promote the service, develop referral mechanisms and improve partnership working.
They are looking for an experienced manager who has managed services working with vulnerable young people and/ or children.
The successful candidate will be working for a respected children's charity that work with disadvantaged children across the North of England and provide high quality, unique and targeted programmes.
They are an excellent organisation to work for and you will be managing a dedicated and passionate team.
