HR Manager

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a HR Manager to join us at our Trust Central Team at the NSPCC Training Centre in Beaumont Leys, Leicester.

Within this role, you will be responsible for organising and managing all aspects of the Trust’s Human Resources function, including that of its extended facilities, and fulfilling the requirements of safer recruitment legislation.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will ensure the effective operation of systems and policies within the Trust, and the development of its Human Resources service ensuring compliance with employment law and appropriate education legislation.

You will also be responsible for assisting with and overseeing the recruitment, selection and retention process within the business.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you possess relevant qualifications in Human Resources and hold a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Level 5 Diploma.

With previous experience of overseeing the Human Resources of an organisation, you will have experience of HR within the Education environment as well as significant vocational experience demonstrating development throughout. 

Prior experience of developing and implementing policy and procedure related to management of HR function is also a requirement and you will be familiar with developing systems and processes to meet organisation requirements.

Discovery Schools Academy Trust was formed as a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in 2012, through the formalisation of a long-standing voluntary partnership between Kibworth CE Primary School and Parkland Primary School, the founding schools of our Trust.  Additional schools have elected to join our Trust through the learning partnerships we offer, and currently 13 schools are full members of DSAT.
