We are now recruiting for a relief security officer in Southampton.
The shifts will be 12 hours with either days or nights (06:30-18:30 or 18:30-06:30)
Role will require candidates to work outside - outdoor PPE will be provided
Duties will include:
* Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal are adhered to
* Provide security escort to all areas of the building as and when required
* Report any issues to the supervisor or duty manager
* Always conduct yourself in a professional manner
* Complete internal and external patrols, specifically reporting all faults and blocked fire exists as a priority
* Respond to emergencies
* Report security or safety issues to the site Supervisor
* Deal with conflict in an appropriate manner if required
* Write up incidents to the standard expected by Management
* Carry out ID checks
* Carry out searches of areas and persons in accordance with assignment instructions
* Follow all reasonable requests from the Supervisor or Senior Management
* Excellent communication skills to all levels - verbally, written, phone and by security radio's
* Can work effectively as part of a team or can work on own initiative
* Extensive experience working in the corporate environment within the banking sector
* Excellent interpersonal skills, to liaise with security officers, managers and directors
* Can solve problems and make decisions
* A skilful negotiator who can resolve issues
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges
* Must hold a manual driving licence
* Valid SIA license
* Must have good communication skills and be computer literate
Pay rate is GBP10.42 per hour
