HR Director - GBP70,000 + Car + Bonus + Bens - Manufacturing & Distribution - Suffolk, Haverhill

A leading, German owned material manufacturing business have engaged me exclusively to secure their new HR Director. The role will be based out of Suffolk with other sites in the West Midlands and Ireland. You will lead a HR team of 4 and be part of the Executive team.

The role -

Responsible for the development and delivery of the HR Strategy in line with the business plan

Working closely as part of the multi site senior leadership team, with the focus on engaging the business to deliver high performance

Day to day management of all HR activities, providing guidance and support in HR matters Company wide

Ensuring the Company employs the best employment practises and to work with line managers so that employees are developed to meet the needs of the business

Responsible for senior level decision making and both day to day management and strategic direction of the organisation

Manage and participate in the annual salary review, ensuring that a fair and equitable salary structure is maintained. Including negotiations with the recognised trade union

Oversee the UK payroll and ensure it is completed accurately and to deadlines

Manage the employee development process including the appraisal system, training plans for the business, professional qualification systems and succession planning

Offer advice to Directors and Line Managers on employment law matters and on the interpretation and implementation of the Company's HR Policies and Procedures to ensure a consistent and professional approach throughout the Company

Develop and implement an annual agenda for HR strategy in line with the business plan. Ensure HR plans support the needs of the business but are also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organisation, as and when they occur

The Person -

This role would suit a Head of HR who is looking to move in to their first HR Director position or an established HRD who would like to enhance and continue driving forward a high performing HR department

You will be CIPD qualified or equivalent

Experienced in a Senior HR Generalist role, preferably within a manufacturing environment

Be used to and enjoy a hands on HR role whilst also working strategically with the Senior Management team

This is a true generalist role covering all areas of HR including ER, Reward, L&D, OD, Talent, Wellbeing and D&I
