Building Surveoyr

Our client, based in South Wales, is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor on a permanent basis. Our client are a trustworthy Housing Association who are proud to provide affordable, quality homes to the Local Community.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have Surveying experience within a Social Housing capacity, and hold a Full UK Drivers' Licence.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

* Carry out pre and post inspections of tenanted and void Social Housing properties
* Identify insurance claims for maintenance and repairs items
* Specify works for properties prior to relets in accordance with the Schedule of Rates
* Undertake Cyclical and Stock Condition surveys
* Create Schedules of work for cyclical decorating works, service contracts and planned component replacements
* Assist in the procurement of specialists contractors for planned works projects and ensure valley for money
* Collate and cleanse Stock Condition Data
* Ensure all contractors comply with Health and Safety and Fire Safety legislation
* Produce technical reports for the board in relation to Maintenance Contractors and expected maintenance

Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Expertise required:
* A Full UK Drivers' Licence
* Social Housing Experience
