Working in a busy customer care environment, you will be part of a small team providing Caretaker cover in the Clinical Education Centre based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital site. The post involves working closely with Administrative, Clinical and Academic staff on a daily basis. Tasks will include reception cover to greet and direct visitors, staff and students outside normal office hours, and general caretaking duties, such as security, furniture rearrangements for the following days teaching, some general maintenance duties, risk assessments and closing the building at the appropriate time each evening.
You will be educated to a good standard of general education and have a good level of numeracy and literacy skills, along with basic IT skills including familiarity with email, word processing and spreadsheets. You will be required to work on your own initiative, be a successful team player and be able to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels including staff, students and visitors to the building. Other essential criteria include the ability to be flexible, cover for team members, to undertake moderate lifting duties and have an awareness of relevant health and safety, and security requirements. In the role you will become a First Aider to provide first aid assistance during the evening (training will be provided).
