Hello, we’re the Pension Protection Fund. We protect the futures of millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. Our members rely on us to look after their pensions if their employers go bust and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised.

We’re looking for a Communications and Brand Advisor Apprentice to join the team and build our brand by producing branded communications materials and coordinating stakeholder research.

If you’re successful, you’ll help coordinate the design and production of our publications, including the Annual Report, Strategic Plan, Gender Pay Gap Report and Purple Book, among others. You’ll work with internal stakeholders and the design agency to make sure the design and text are accurate and reinforce the PPF brand. You will also support with copywriting and proofreading.

You’ll play a key role on the PPF’s research activity to help us measure our reputation and better understand our members and stakeholders.

We’d also like you to help plan and develop email marketing campaigns aimed at customer and professional audiences.

As part of a growing Communications team, you will be able to develop understanding and skills in other communications disciplines, through ad hoc support for colleagues across other channels such as social media and internal communications. You’ll also have access to a wide variety of personal development and training opportunities at the PPF.

We’d like you to have fantastic attention to detail, be a great writer and have excellent planning and organisational skills. You’ll be enthusiastic and willing to learn, a strong team player and capable of dealing with senior colleagues. You’ll also have a good understanding of brand identity and communications.

You will study for a Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship. We’re proud to support apprentices in all sorts of roles across the PPF and will help you on your journey.

If you already hold a degree or Masters level qualification in this subject, please be aware you may be over qualified and unable to apply based on the Institution of Apprenticeship rules.
