Estate Management - Facilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Facilities Assistants, to join the Estate Facilities team.
The role holders will be responsible for ensuring the operational services of the University's sites and buildings. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running of the buildings in order to support the work of the academic community. Services include cleaning; setting and resetting seminar rooms; lecture theatres; distributing deliveries; security and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have good literacy and numeracy skills as well as the ability to use various IT packages and AV systems. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this role. In addition, effective and efficient time management skills are required. Experience with modern cleaning techniques, including Health and Safety regulations would be an advantage.
The role may involve some work during unsociable hours without direct supervision on a rota basis. In addition, the role holder may be required to do similar duties in other buildings managed by the department
