We now have an opportunity for a passionate sports tutor to join the wonderful team at Bridge College in Openshaw!

As our sports tutor you will...

Be required to develop and deliver an innovative and progressive curriculum in the area of sport and outdoor education. This includes working in liaison with Bridge College’s physiotherapy team in order to develop individualised stretching and positional change programmes for learners with complex physical needs within groups. You will Develop and deliver a progressive and innovative curriculum which clearly evidences accreditation opportunities and RARPA process in the area of sport and outdoor education.

Bridge College has a large multi-disciplinary team which comprises of teachers, support staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists. It is essential that the you work collaboratively with this multi-disciplinary team to ensure the needs of students are addressed and learning is accessible and inclusive.

About you... 

You will have a relevant degree within the subject area of sport and outdoor education,and a PGCE/PGDE or other relevant teaching qualification within the sector. It is essential that you have a good knowledge and experience of working in a similar environment, working with young people with Autism, learning disabilities and medical conditions. Although you have extensive support from the teams around you, you must follow our values, caring, passionate, positive, professional and supportive, a committed individual with the best interests of our students at heart is what we are looking for.
