Pay: GBP17ph umbrella

Hours: 37 hour week

Duration: 6 month

My local authority client is looking for someone:

* To provide a geographically based lead to ensure that Property Business services are provided efficiently and effectively, being pro-active and open to change seeking opportunities to contribute to service improvements and organisational goals.

* The role will include initiating and implementing new efficient ways of working, new systems and procedures to improve the quality of the service and be instrumental in the support of the Asset Utilisation Programme.

* To advise and signpost staff in managed and corporate estate sites on Health & Safety compliance, sustainability and council policies and procedures. To manage corporate premises contracts.

Duties:

* Work with the Operations Manager and Snr Area Manager to identify and implement changes in working practices in line with the Business Plan through the development of the Service Level Agreement.

* Ensure and deliver the provision of site management by the Property & Business teams in accordance to their job descriptions in their managed office.Monitoring and reviewing the service provided and ensuring development.

* Ensure the management of the office based client financial provision and accounting processes to meet audit requirements. Ensure the management and support the security and process of office based cash handling resource.

* Support the Senior Records Administrator in ensuring provision of Records management for all closed customer paper records across all Directorates Countywide.

* Establish and maintain good working relationships with all internal and external service areas, suppliers, contractors and partner organisations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of service meet the changing demands of the business within available resources.

* To ensure the provision of an excellent front of house service within your managed sites.

* Act as the contact/ responsible person for callouts/out of hours.

* Support all non-school corporate estate sites within your geographical area with advice, signposting and guidance on all County Council policies and procedures. Action outstanding issues or Property & Facilities complaints as required working with Property & Facilities Technical staff to resolve.

* Ensure that all corporate estate sites are part of the communication process and maintain and establish communication links between partnership organisations.

Qualifications:

* Professional Management Qualification or equivalent experience

* Health & Safety Qualification.

Experience:

* Sound background experience in managing staff

* Excellent working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety to include Fire Regulations

* Excellent financial acumen for budgeting, cost controlling/monitoring

* Extensive in facilities and premises management - including post, reception, voice/data, cleaning, security, waste, vending.

* Experience of managing projects
