An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Applications Engineer to join this exciting client who develop leading edge test & measurement products that are used to verify the performance of network equipment and the network itself.
Due to continued growth they are seeking an Applications Engineer - Test & Measurement to join their product support team in East Lothian where you will work closely with their product design teams, become an expert on the use of their products, and provide first class technical solutions and support to their global customer base on one or more product lines. This is a highly varied role combining deep technical expertise with customer interaction. A degree of travel will be involved but will not be excessive.
Key skills and experience for Applications Engineer - Test & Measurement:
Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent
Previous experience in direct technical interactions with customer
Strong willingness to learn the product and its application
Knowledge of Networking, Ethernet packet structures and/or Telecoms Framing structures (Desirable but not essential)
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
