The University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Yr Athrofa, is looking to appoint a passionate and committed educator to the role of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer: AoLE Science and Technology (Secondary Physics).
Yr Athrofa is proud to be working in partnership with the Welsh Government and colleagues on a number of important educational and community initiatives, including the design and development of Wales’ new national curriculum and the assessment of the learning of our pupils. You will support Yr Athrofa’s Science and Technology AoLE, teaching secondary Physics across the suite of programmes offered by Yr Athrofa, to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. This will include making whatever contribution possible to support the implementation of the Welsh Government’s wider education strategy and National Mission.
You will be expected to work across UWTSD campuses and beyond, but a main base will be agreed at either the Swansea or Carmarthen campus.
Essential criteria for this role include:
- An honours degree in a relevant subject and qualified teacher status
- Broad experience of Science and Technology as an academic discipline
- Comprehensive knowledge of teaching secondary Physics
- Evidence of a strong and successful track record in delivering and developing Secondary Physics schemes / programmes
- Experience of contributing to assessment, moderation, and monitoring of academic work and study
