Job Title: Device Testing Associate Scientist
Location: Cambridge
Contract: 6 month contract
Pay Rate: GBP14.71 an hour (circa GBP28,000 per annum)
SRG is working with a biopharmaceutical company who are global leaders with their portfolio of medicines, vaccines and consumer healthcare products including injectables.
They are currently seeking a Device Testing Associate Scientist at their site in Cambridge to test and analyse novel drug delivery devices, components and primary containers (syringes and cartridges).
The work will involve detailed hands-on testing of prototype drug delivery devices and accurate recording and analysis of data in accordance with SOPs.
Responsibilities:
- Carries out hands-on testing of devices (force testing, viscosity, density etc.) to generate data on selected parameters in accordance with agreed protocols.
- Running developed methods.
- Use tools to analyse and record data to quantify the functional performance characteristics of devices (e.g. data verification).
- Ad-hoc assistance around the lab as needed including packaging boxes.
Requirements:
- Hold a degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Medical Engineering, Biological Science or a relevant scientific subject.
- Previous experience of working in a laboratory, ideally within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge or experience of force testing would be ideal.
- Interest in working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Cell culture experience useful.
