Permanent, Full time - 37 hours per week

 

Our client requires a dedicated and conscientious senior care worker to join their friendly team in Peterborough on a permanent basis. They’re seeking a caring and compassionate individual who enjoys interacting with seniors and assisting them with their daily living activities. 

The role of being a senior carer is an important role within working in the health & social care industry. You will lead, develop and assist a team of care workers to provide the highest standards of respect and care. Overall ensuring the dignity of the clients is maintained at all times.

 

Duties

  • Direct line management of Care Workers to include one to one sessions and performance monitoring
  • Support the Team Leader with customer reviews
  • Provide personal care to customers to maximise their independence and choice
  • Ensure the quality of care service delivery through observations and spot checks of care workers
  • Participation in team meetings to ensure excellent communication throughout the team
  • Ensure full compliance against the CQC’s National Minimum Standards of Quality and Safety
  • Ensure adherence to all company Care policies and procedures
  • Liaise with family, friends and professionals when appropriate
  • Maintain customer files; ensuring all relevant information is kept secure and confidential in line with GDPR legislation
  • Working within the terms of their safeguarding vulnerable adults procedure proactively seek to maintain the safety of customers

 

 

Requirements

  • Must have good experience within a senior role
  • Must be computer literate as this will be a large part of the role with rotas and support plans 
  • Must be able to provide an on call service on a rota basis
  • Full time - 37 hours per week. This includes working five out of seven days including Saturdays and Sundays on a rotational basis
