Teacher of Equine and Countryside Management
January 2020
For January 2020 we are seeking a well-qualified, knowledgeable and
enthusiastic Teacher of Equine and Countryside Management to join
the forward-thinking Land Based Studies Department.
You will be responsible for delivering and assessing the
Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC Horse Management courses, as well as
contributing to the delivery and assessment of units of study on our
BTEC Countryside Management courses. Educated to degree level
in an Equine/Animal Science or Agricultural subject, you will have an
extensive knowledge of equine physiology, nutrition and husbandry
as well as a good knowledge of the care and husbandry of a range of
other commonly kept animals.
A wider interest in land-based subjects would be advantageous, as
would relevant industry and/or teaching experience and a willingness
to support the development of our School Farm and Stables.
Accommodation may be available and stabling for own horse is
provided subject to availability.
