Accounts Assistant, Salary: GBP20k, Based: Peterborough, Working on a 1-year fixed term contract
We have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to work for a leading multi-site business on a 1-year fixed term contract. This role will assist with the preparation and completion of the monthly management accounts and all related processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role e.g. Accounts Administrator / Assistant, Finance Assistant / Finance Administrator.
Accounts Assistant key duties;
- Preparation of monthly journals.
- Assistance with analysis of month end reports
- Liaison with Regional Admin staff in reviewing nominal account variances.
- Assistance in fleet reporting information.
- Completion of designated balance sheet reconciliations.
- Any ad-hoc assistance as required to support Finance Analysts.
Accounts Assistant candidate requirements;
- Preferably have experience in a similar role E.g. Accounts Administrator / Assistant, Finance Assistant / Finance Administrator.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- A good level of competency in using Microsoft Office (Excel, word, outlook) and finance systems.
- A finance / accounting qualification would be beneficial
