Job overview:

You will be working with associates and secondees within the London Japan Desk and our colleagues in other offices (particularly in Tokyo and Melbourne).

The role is inclusive of but not limited to;

Assisting on administrative matters relating to clients such as issuing invoices and drafting engagement letters
Assisting on marketing activities such as creating brochures and newsletters and sending them to clients
Assisting lawyers on transactions such as translating documents and carrying out basic research
Liaising with clients (both business and legal teams) on transactions

Essential skills and experience:

Essential: Native Japanese language skills (speaking, reading, writing)
Essential: Good written and oral communication skills in English
Excellent organisational/project management skills
Collegiate, positive and willing-to-learn attitude to work, happy to assist and be involved in a variety of transactions when additional support is required
Attention to detail and thoroughness are essential
Confident and professional manner
Able to build and develop rapport with clients; good client relationship skills
Ability to manage own workload
