About The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of routine building, maintenance and repair jobs, with minimum disruption to the care home. You'll carry out audits and make sure records are kept up-to-date.Your key duties will include checking electrical items brought into the home by our residents, oversee heating systems, fire alarm checks, refrigeration and general electrics. You will be accountable for compliance with the Health and Safety At Work Act, COSHH, service contract and inspections. And, whether you're replacing a tap or mixer valve, fitting a new extractor fan, repairing the timber on a bedroom window or putting up new wallpaper in the dining room, you'll do so with a sense of kindness above anything else.
About You
We're looking for someone with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping. You'll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as ideally some IT skills. Friendly and approachable, you will understand the importance of keeping high standards in and around the home, ensuring our residents enjoy a safe, pleasant and comfortable environment
