My client is a well-established UK Manufacturing company based in Maldon, Essex and we are seeking 4 Production Operatives to join their team on a 12 month full time contract.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a market leading company who manufacture & supply products to the civil engineering and construction industries. The position will be fast paced, challenging and offer a great opportunity for training and progression.
These positions will be on shift either Days (6am - 6pm) only or Nights (6pm - 6am) only.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Operate the Production machinery
* Accurately complete line reporting metrics.
* Updating visual management boards hourly and on shift handovers.
* Responsible for the communication to supply chain for feedstock replenishment
* Responsible for the return of measurement equipment that is due for calibration
* Responsible for making sure that only calibrated equipment is used
* Responsible when required for carrying out testing of products and ensuring it meets spec
* Support the completion of risk assessments
* Reporting accidents and incidents
* Responsible for movement of materials and finished goods via Forklift truck
Skills & Experience required:
* Must have thorough knowledge of production procedures along with computer skills and able to prioritize multiple tasks and effectively manage time.
* A combination of training or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities in the manufacturing environment.
* Apprentice trained or equivalent experience within a Production or Manufacturing environment
* Experience of Operating Production Machinery and all associated tasks
* Responsible for carrying out selected maintenance activities
* It will be advantageous if you have previously experience using a forklift truck although training and refresher will be given
* Team Oriented and Interpersonal Skills and able to work effectively with other plant employees or external groups to achieve required objectives and goals.

Nights only: 6pm - /hr

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Machine Operator within a Production or Manufacturing environment. If you have previous experience operating a Forklift truck, then this will be advantageous but not essential
