We're looking for a Section 106 Programme Manager who will manage the Council's Section 106 Programme to deliver the spatial strategy set out in the Local Plan, including place-shaping and delivery of necessary infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of stakeholders overseeing an exciting and transformational programme that will create a lasting legacy for our residents and businesses. This is a full time, permanent position, offering a highly competitive salary of GBP34,788 - GBP37,849 per annum. This role also includes a 10% recruitment payment initially for the first two years.
About the Section 106 Programme Manager role
In order to create fantastic, sustainable places it is necessary to ensure that the appropriate infrastructure is in place. The council already has a highly successful Section 106 programme that is delivering state of the art sports facilities, children's play areas, walking and cycling routes, investment in local primary and secondary schools and much needed affordable housing. The Local Plan includes policies that provide further opportunities to secure planning gain.
We have therefore created a new Section 106 Programme Manager to oversee this growing programme. The Programme Manager will report to a Section 106 Strategic Panel comprising of senior councillors and officers who ensure that contributions are allocated to projects that reflect the council's wider objectives, deliver the best value for money and have widespread community support.

Our ideal Section 106 Programme Manager will have the below skills and experience:
- Relevant professional Level 6 qualification
- Relevant Programme/Project Management Training
- Significant experience of project management to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the development management process, planning and other relevant legislation and national and regional guidance
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation and negotiation skills.
