Our client is a family run organisation with established traditions and customer value at its core. Operating from their Ledbury and Hereford sites they have become a market leader in their field.
We are recruiting for a permanent position that will operate across both sites so a driving license and own means of transportation is crucial for the role.

In the position of Inventory Controller you will work closely with the production teams in both Hereford and Ledbury locations as well as a wide range of internal stakeholders. You will need a keen eye for detail and the ability to work well within a team as well as on your own.

The main purpose of the role is to improve the internal operation of stock control and maintain accurate bills material to minimise unknown loss and waste in the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will also include the following:

• Carrying out cycle counts on all materials at both sites
• Stock variance and data analysis
• Working to set KPIs
• Data input on company ERP system
• Utilize previous annual stock reports to forecast needs
• Develop improvement action plans along with senior management
• Prepare current data for system migration to new ERP in 2019/20
• Ad-hoc duties as required by management

The ideal candidate for this role will be:

• Experience within a manufacturing background
• Strong internal audit and attention to detail capabilities
• Computer literate - experienced in Microsoft Word/Excel
• Experienced in MRP systems ,and product line optimisation processes
