Role purpose:
Lead the existing customer marketing strategy and execution for Co-Brands cards, ensuring that plans align with commercial objectives and deliver results within budget. Define detailed, client aligned plans and lead a team of marketers to execute these plans along with centrally-defined CRM programs. Manage and own the delivery of strategic changes across all legal marketing documents and associated customer communication strategies.
Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities for the role include the following:
- Define annual marketing plans for each Co-Brand carded client, identifying opportunities to deepen cardholder relationships and achieve business objectives;
- Create and own the execution of a first-rate marketing programme, aimed at:
- Encouraging habit-based growth, loyalty (ie. on-boarding, promoting and rewarding usage);
- Improving experience through digital capabilities (ie. behaviour-lead, automated customer communications journeys, boosting digital servicing uptake);
- Driving scale communication delivery for similar campaigns across a range of retailers
- Leveraging data to unlock customer value (ie. integrate insights, modelling and decisioning);
- Promoting credit building tools to serve and grow the base (ie. balance transfers, money transfers, upgrades, credit offers; grow usage of new products to new segments);
- Lead the optimisation and transition of new and existing campaigns into Salesforce, leveraging new channels and technology to improve personalisation and efficiency;
- Oversee the alignment of marketing material to Legal/Data Protection Officer recommended designations (ie. marketing vs. servicing), and lead strategic changes to Legal marketing documents to support key business initiatives;
- Support client teams in driving thought leadership and gaining client agreement on marketing activity;
- Support Co-Brands team on personalisation of retail communication, leveraging more detailed retailer analytics;
- Effective management and monthly monitoring of the marketing budget;
- Provide strong leadership and continuously develop a team of 3 marketers;
- Play a leadership role within Marketing;
Skills, qualifications and experience
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Degree in business with a marketing focus;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Proven success leading a team of marketers to deliver a complex program of campaigns;
- Experience of building effective relationships internally and externally, and leveraging these relationships to drive proven results;
- Significant experience of working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud;
- Significant experience developing customer journeys;
- Strong CRM skills, including early month on book, retention, cross-sell, upsell, account servicing, and customer engagement;
- Previous credit card CRM experience;
- Significant experience working in Fashion Retail;
- Excellent creative marketing skills within a retail or financial services environment;
- Significant experience managing an agency to deliver customer journeys and strategic projects including new product launches, rebrands, and complex customer engagement;
- Strong data understanding, including how to utilise data to drive campaign performance, experience building data requirements for campaign planning, execution and evaluation;
- Significant experience driving financial service product acquisition within a retail store environment;
- Significant experience working with technology teams to represent data requirements aimed at customer centric experiences;
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with proven leadership within a changing and fast paced environment;
- Strong digital marketing skills, with experience embedding digital marketing touchpoints within a broader customer journey;
- Broad knowledge of UK credit industry, with detailed understanding of credit card marketing;
- Proven experience influencing stakeholders with high levels of seniority (c-suite, board level);
- Experience of large scale change projects within consumer banking and credit cards;
- Extensive experience of working in a highly regulated environment; and
