Duties and responsibilities
- Management of regulatory operations within the ETF Team
- MiFID transaction reporting, monitoring of daily transactions via the RHUB reporting function
- responsible for EMT (European MiFID template) file for the ETF funds
- liaising with the regulatory reporting teams to ensure the platform complies with reporting obligations
- management of Operations and Data functions within the ETF Team
- liaising between internal operations, BNY Mellon and Truss Edge to ensure operational readiness for new funds
- Responsible for custody account set up and maintenance
- Responsible for tax operations, document maintenance and processing tax reclaims
- supporting LGIM Sales and ETF Capital Markets activities
- liaising with Capital Markets to provide relevant information to APs, market makers and clients
- providing ad hoc support to Sales and answer specific client queries with regards to the funds (eg. fund turnover, liquidity, tracking etc.)
- liaising with Investment Operations to ensure ETF specific data is accurate and available to stakeholders
- assist the Portfolio Managers in any aspect of the portfolio management of physical ETFs (fully replicated and optimised)
- assist the Portfolio Managers in any aspect portfolio management of synthetic ETFs (unfunded swap model)
- Sending of daily Portfolio Composition Files (PCF) to market makers, manual PCF construction
- oversight of third-party investment managers with regards to portfolio management and related reporting duties for the ETF that they manage
- reporting on behalf of the Investment Manager to Risk, Compliance and the Board
Skills, qualifications and experience
- educated to degree level in a numerical field
- a good understanding of ETF's and the various replication models by which they carry their investment objective across the board from synthetic to physical replication
- a good understanding of how indices work and are calculated
- a good understanding of UCITS regulations and guidance notes with respect to the management of the assets of ETF funds
- a good understanding of how PCFs work and are calculated
- a good understanding of how ETFs are traded across the primary/secondary market
- experience in swaps and repo transaction
- a good understanding of middle and back office functions
- advance proven Bloomberg & Excel skills, basic knowledge of VBA
- MIFID II transaction reporting function RHUB
- Investment management tool AIM and EMSX
- Financial reporting using various Microsoft excel add ins
- excellent proven ability to work with Safari portfolio management system
- Daily collateral and cash management
- Daily Portfolio management analysis including attributions and dealing
- Daily PCF management
- Various financial reporting metrics including, VaR reports, SRRIs & SRIs, tracking metrics
- UCITS Monitoring
- excellent proven ability to work with Axioma Optimisation system
- good Understanding of optimisation risk models using the Axioma program
- excellent proven numeracy skills
- exceptional proven attention to detail
- excellent ability to make decisions and act quickly in a pressured environment
- excellent ability to seek innovative solutions to problems as they arise, implementing new processes and system developments
